Story by Community Journalist, Anita Bellin.

Sue Andrews, Executive Director of the various arms of the Interfaith Community Services, talks to Anita Bellin about the Empty Bowls supper which will take place on October 17th at the Elks Club. It is a fundraiser for the Bennington Free Clinic and the services of the Interfaith group. She invites everyone who hears this to come to the Elks Club between 5 and 8pm, buy a beautiful handmade bowl for $10.00, have it filled with the soup you choose, and enjoy your supper which will include bread and dessert. Second helpings are available as is the conversation and good cheer to be shared by all those attending. The bowls were made by folks gathered at Willow Park on the 4th of July and glazed at a “painting” party at St. Peters Church. Bring your appetites and the whole family. You can take the bowl home or leave it with us for next year.
