Pownal, Vt.–Among the many events scheduled to celebrate Pownal’s 250th Anniversary is a tour of homes in Pownal, featuring five houses built between 1750 and 2009.

Date: June 26, 2010
Time: 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. (visit as few or as many houses as you want)
Location: A map of the five houses is available at the Studio Art Works store on Route 7.

Free and open to the public. Donations welcome.

Sponsored by the Pownal Valley Affordable Housing Committee and organized by Pauline Guntlow, the tour focuses on energy-efficiency over time.  The self-guided tour starts at the Studio Works Art store on Route 7 in Pownal.  There visitors can view a video and pick up directions to the houses.
